New Year, New You

Updated: May 23, 2023

“Regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self, which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, created in God’s image.” Ephesians 4:22-24

When I think of a new year and reflect on what I want to change and accomplish, I’m not one for resolutions, but I am about healthy goals. I want to assess my life the year before and what I have learned and how I can grow into a stronger woman as an individual, and hopefully as a wife and mother someday. How can I be a better version of myself and the woman God created me to be? What do I need to change? What can I add or delete from my life? What have I done well over the past year and what do I need to focus on more over this next calendar year? What is God’s calling for me in the next 365 days? (Hopefully, I’m not the only one who asks themselves these questions.)

*Some of the old self habits I, personally want to get rid of:

-My frustration that I internalize and then let explode and my emotions

and language get the better of me

-Less anxiety over the future

-Less comparison

*New self I want to be better at:

- More self-control over my emotions and words when I am beyond my limit, that I’m able to regulate how I react

-Living with more joy

-Confidently stepping into the woman designed be to be without fear or judgement of others

What are some habits you want to change for the better?

2 Corinthians 5:17, beach
